Itinerary Details
(Day 1) - International Flight, Los Angeles to Auckland

Shortly after departing Los Angeles you will be served dinner and you will be given breakfast before landing in Auckland.

Relax, watch some movies, and try to get some sleep!

Please confirm with the airline at check-in that they have all your Frequent Flyer information on record (if applicable).

(Day 2) - New Zealand Domestic Flight, Auckland to Christchurch

Travel within New Zealand by domestic air from Auckland to Christchurch (South Island).

(Day 2) - Shuttle Transfer, Christchurch Airport to Accommodation

Travel by shuttle from the Airport to your vacation accommodation in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Please note: For airport transfers – 2 suitcases per person, extra pieces may be charged at $5.00 per piece. Surfboards, Bicycles etc – $5.00 each.

(Day 2 to 3) - 1 Night Accommodation in Christchurch

Travel to your accommodation in Christchurch, New Zealand, where you will be staying whilst on vacation for 1 night.

Your 4 Star vacation accommodation in Christchurch, located on New Zealand’s South Island, offers a stylish boutique hotel, just metres from Cathedral Square, major business houses, convention facilities and prime attractions. The city, also known as the “Garden City” offers many opportunities to either rest from your travel or explore the city. Consider traveling to Arthur’s Pass National Park, which has an incredible diversity of flora and landscape. Experience a breathtaking journey aboard the TranzAlpine Train winding its way through New Zealand’s magnificent Waimakariri Gorge.

(Day 3) - Day Tour, Train Ride from Christchurch to Greymouth

Explore the Southern Alps aboard the TranzAlpine train – one of the world’s great train journeys, covering 139 miles one-way.

The TranzAlpine train travels coast-to-coast through the ‘Great Divide’ and the indomitable spine of mountains that partitions New Zealand’s South Island. On the east, enjoy relaxing in the garden city of Christchurch and horse trekking into the mountains from Springfield. On the west, experience the tranquillity of Lake Brunner and venture into glacier country from Greymouth. At the center, explore some great NZ mountain hikes at Arthur’s Pass.

Need to Know
Pack a small bag with everything you’ll need for the day as large bags/luggage will be checked into luggage carriage. Luggage restrictions apply. Infants are not allocated a seat, so if you wish to bring a car seat, you must book a child seat in advance. Bring headphones for audio commentary.

(Day 3 to 8) - West Coast Wilderness Cycle Tour

You’ll experience the best of natural New Zealand on this trip across two of New Zealand’s “Great Rides” through an amazing countryside of alpine highs, dense bush, ancient forests, roaring coastline and rich mining heritage. You’ll quickly find out why New Zealand is considered one of the world’s most diverse landscapes.

Day 1: Experience the South Island’s striking natural landscape by taking the Tranzalpine scenic train across Arthur’s Pass to Greymouth – one of the world’s greatest train journeys. You’ll traverse the Canterbury Plains with the backdrop of the mighty Southern Alps. After lunch at Monteith’s Brewery, you’ll hop on your bike and start down the West Coast Wilderness Trail past beaches and native bush. You’ll spend

Day 2: This part of the trail takes you from Kumara, past the Kapitea Reservoir and through some very remote West Coast bush. Enjoy the climb and then the downhill into Milltown. From Milltown, there’s a lovely twisty downhill that takes you down into the valley and through farmland before an undulating ride leads you to the beautiful Lake Kaniere and the Lake Kaniere water race. Follow the trail through to Hokitika with a worthwhile side trip to the stunning Hokitika Gorge.

Day 3: The trail leaves Hokitika and quickly follows the old historic Mahinapua Tramline through to the West Coast Treetops walk where you get to see the forest from high above. After lunch, you continue to finish the trail in Ross. We drive straight to Franz Josef in time for dinner.

Day 4: After breakfast, depending on the weather, you have the option of adding a scenic flight over the Fox glacier (not included) before we head off to explore the Haast Pass. Be prepared for some short walks and a magnificent jet boat ride on the Haast River. Arrive in Wanaka with time to stretch the legs by the lake before dinner.

Day 5: Explore the Wanaka Trail from Lake Hawea to Lake Wanaka and then the Clutha River down to Luggate for a drink to end the day. We treat you tonight to a local chef who will showcase their talents using local ingredients.

Day 6: Finish your journey to Queenstown by cycling through the Gibbston Valley towards Arrowtown on the Queenstown Trail, stopping for lunch on the way.
Expect to be back in Queenstown around 5pm.

(Day 9) New Zealand Domestic Flight, Queenstown to Auckland

(Day 9) - International Flight, Auckland to Los Angeles

Today depart Auckland and fly to the USA. Enjoy an in-flight dinner and movie with arrival in the USA. Note: you will be traveling back across the International Date Line. Gain that day back you lost on the way over, you actually arrive in the USA on the same day you leave Auckland.
