Itinerary Details
(Day 1) - International Flight, Los Angeles to Sydney (can be included on request)

Travel to Australia on your vacation. After departing from Los Angeles you will be provided with an evening meal. You can relax, have a drink, watch a movie, review your itinerary or just rest. You will be given Breakfast before landing in Sydney, Australia. (You lose one day crossing the International Date Line but don’t worry you catch it up again on your return flight to the USA)

This one hour tour outlines the intricate and controversial history of the Sydney Opera House along with details of the unique design of this architectural masterpiece. You will visit a number of the six performance venues, including the magnificent wood paneled Concert Hall and the Opera Theatre as well as the new Utzon room. With Sydney at your fingertips, take the chance to explore the Darling Harbour area at your leisure, which is a modern collection of Shopping Malls, Parkland, Restaurants and Harbour Front activities.

Walk to Circular Quay and catch a ferry to our wonderful harbour-side Taronga Park Zoo, or take the 30 minute ferry ride to Manly Beach, Sydney’s premier beach resort. Here you can enjoy the laid back beach culture as well as many festivals and events. If you prefer to stay closer to downtown Sydney, Bondi Beach is approximately a 10 minute train ride and is one of Australia’s most famous and iconic beaches. Save some time to take a beach walk from Bondi Beach to Bronte Beach, it’s known to be a true highlight. If visiting on a weekend then go to the Rocks Market and shop for local Arts, Crafts & unique Australian Souvenirs.

Insider's Tip: Sydney Harbour Pylon Museum and Lookout - Bridgeclimb Alternative

See the fantastic views of the city, the harbour and the world famous icon – the Sydney Harbour Bridge! This is a wonderful alternative if you do not wish to climb the bridge.

Access is via the pedestrian pathway on the Eastern side of the Bridge from the city side (use the Bridge Stairs in Cumberland Street, The Rocks). There are 200 stairs to the Lookout, but on the way up there are 3 levels of exhibits where you will discover the history and construction of the Bridge, the men who built it, and the vision of JJC Bradfield, chief engineer

At the end of (or even before) your visit to the Museum, enjoy the scenery and walk across the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The walk to the North side of Sydney will take approximately 15-20 minutes from the Pylon.

For approximately 3.5 hours you and 11 other eager climbers will join a climb guide and weave through catwalks, climb up ladders and then arrive at the most spectacular point of all – the upper arch climb. The steady incline to the upper arch leaves you free to focus your attention on your Sydney experience, with opportunities for 360 degree views of Sydney, including east to the ocean, west to the mountains and the harbor city surrounds.

(Day 6) - Day Tour, Great Barrier Reef Cruise

Today you’ll go on a cruise onboard the T6 to the Great Barrier Reef, one of the natural wonders of the world, and not surprisingly the world’s most extensive coral reef.

T6 departs daily from Cairns. A 90 minute journey to the outer reef will see you arriving at the first of the day’s two sites, selected from a range of 15 from coral gardens to caves and canyons to walls and drop offs, many of which are exclusively owned by the tour operator. Sites are chosen as the optimum locations for the weather conditions, and change daily, so each day will bring you a whole new underwater adventure! Diving (Certified and Introductory) and snorkelling are all on offered at the reef, where 5 hours allows plenty of time to enjoy water and topside activities.
The day will include: Marine Interpretation talks, underwater photography briefs, 1 guided snorkel tour and 2 Certified dives with Full Equipment plus 1 Bonus Certified dive available on board.

Lunch is a divine buffet of fresh and healthy food. Quality Up to Date Snokel and Dive Equipment: wet suit, lycra suit, dive computer & prescription mask.

Fees: All prices are inclusive of the reef levy. The reef levy is a per person charge including a $20.00 EMC fee to all passengers entering the
Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Alcoholic beverages and sodas may be purchased on board.

What to bring: Beach towels (available at your accommodation), a dry change of clothes, hat, sunglasses & an underwater disposable camera (available from your local chemist or convenience stores).

Child Age: Child rate applies to 4-16 years old. 0 to 3 years travel free. Minimum age for introductory diving is 12 years old, and minimum age for certified diving is 10 years old.

Note: Certified divers are required to produce their Certification Cards upon boarding, and sign paperwork stating they are mentally and physically fit to dive. The diving is conducted in buddy pairs, with guided diving with a divemaster available as an optional extra.

TUSA will not allow diving if you are flying within 12 hours (after one dive) or 24 hours (after 2 dives). A medical questionnaire must be passed to allow participation in Introductory Diving (PADI Discover Scuba Diving)

(Day 7) - Free Day to Explore Cairns

Take the day and explore what could be considered the capital of the Great Barrier Reef, Cairns!

A major outlet to the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest amongst its many attractions, the tropical paradise of Cairns is sure to enchant you. With many area activities centrally located there’s enough to occupy everyone in the family because Cairns literally has it all! Have a visit to the Esplanade where you can experience all walks of life and make memories. With a nightlife that caters to singles and families alike you’re visit will be filled with so many things to do, so take a deep breath and have fun!

Optional Tour (Not Included) - 30min Hot Air Balloon Ride

Scenic morning hot air balloon ride over the Atherton Tablelands.

Whether this is your first or one of many, this balloon ride is sure to be one of your favorites. In the morning, head about an hour west for take off to the Atherton Tablelands known for its excellent weather, spectacular scenery, and reliable take off conditions. You will be in awe as you see the largest fleet of hot air balloons prepare to sail the skies. On your ride, take in the picturesque landscapes at sunrise as you fly gently above the Tablelands. Even if you have a fear of heights, you’ll see that your flight is very gentle and stable since you gently lift from the ground making you feel comfortable and safe. Experience the unique sensation of breathing in the crisp air on your 30 minute hot air ballooning ride across the wide-open space. When the burner is off, listen to the sounds around you as the wind whips through the air and the sounds below drift up towards you. After your flight, come back down to Earth for landing and have lots of laughs as you assist in hot air balloon pack-up games.

Daintree River Cruise: Reach an understanding of this wildlife environment for one hour, habitat of birds, tree snakes, unique plants and of course the estuarine crocodile.

A wonderful day awaits as you are transported on the historic Kuranda Scenic Rail to the famous village in the rainforest – Kuranda. Your Kuranda Boarding Pass ensures preferential seating, discounted entry into selected Kuranda attractions and a detailed map is also included. Rainforestation, set in 40 hectares of lush gardens, is your next stop. Board the amphibious Army Duck and enjoy the Koala & Wildlife Park. Transfer back to Kuranda, then it’s time to board Skyrail for your return journey.

Need to Know

– Medical history – any person with health issues identified particularly heart issues, epilepsy, overweight, limited mobility (i.e. unable to put on fins and safely use the ladders)
– Swimming ability – any person with the above who has not swum in the ocean recently
– Communication difficulty – Passenger not understanding safety briefings
– Non-Swimmer / Poor swimmer

Crew reserves the right to decline any passenger from participating in snorkeling if there is a concern about the health condition and/or swimming ability of a passenger for the safety and well-being of all guests onboard.

Every tour begins with a brief of horsemanship which includes safety guidelines and instruction. We have horses for all levels of riding.

Optional Day Tour (Not Included) - ATV Quad bike tour in the Kuranda - Half Day

The half day ATV Quad Bike adventure travels through tropical rainforest & creek beds, encountering spectacular unspoilt mountaintop views, and purpose built obstacles, mud pits, and motocross track on 5 acres to itself.

Half day tours operate twice daily with sessions at 9:00am and 1:30pm. Actual riding time is 2hrs and includes a pre-tour riding lesson, and safety briefing. Riders will be given plenty of practice time on the training track, and guides will asses riders to determine the trails to venture on.

The ATV Quad bikes on the fleet are Polaris 300cc, and there are also some Yamaha 90cc bikes for the kids and small adults. All bikes are fully automatic, requiring no use of a foot or hand clutch, and adopting a single hand braking method for all 4 wheels making these bikes extremely safe and fun to ride for anyone. Comfortability is also well considered with the fleet of bikes having independent quad suspension, and being shaft driven for that additional sustainability of trekking up hills and through the mud.

All riding abilities, and children ages 12yrs and up are welcome to participate. Group sizes are small and personalised with a maximum of 8 riders per group and all experience levels catered for.

(Day 12) - Day Tour, Doubtful Sound - Full Day

Travel to an untouched world deep in the heart of Fiordland National Park. The beauty and vastness of Doubtful Sound will take your breath away as you experience its deep wilderness.

When you discover Doubtful Sound you will be struck by its silence – a silence broken only by birdsong or the rushing of a distant waterfall. Its beauty and vastness will take your breath away.

Your day begins in Manapouri with a cruise across the picturesque Lake Manapouri followed by a trip across New Zealand’s most expensive road over Wilmot Pass, pausing along the way to experience the dense Fiordland rainforest and view Doubtful Sound glistening far below.


In Doubtful Sound, you will board our spacious, purpose built catamaran Patea Explorer for a three hour cruise through this pristine fiord. During the cruise our knowledgeable and friendly nature guides will share with you their passion for the region through their commentary. They will answer questions, point out landmarks and provide you with information about the varied wildlife you may encounter like dolphins, fur seals and the rare Fiordland crested penguin.

Shotover Canyon Swing is the world’s highest swing.With over 10 different jumpstyles we can expertly manage the scariness for everyone from knitting nanas to adrenaline junkies.



We have built a platform on the edge of a cliff 109m/360ft above the Shotover River. At the platform you are fitted into a seat and chest safety harness and connected to the jump ropes. This harnessing configuration keeps your arms and legs free throughout the journey and enabling you to safely depart the platform in any position imaginable. Gravity does the rest.



Upon departing from the platform you’ll have a pure freefall of 60m/200ft into the canyon before the ropes smoothly pendulum you to a giant swing arc of 200m/650ft at 150kph. The freefall/swing journey is so smooth you’ll barely notice when you’ve finished freefalling and begun your swing. After a number of swings across the canyon we’ll winch you swiftly back up to the platform.

This jet boat adventure offers your senses a feast of spectacular natural beauty on a journey into the wilderness of the World Heritage-listed Mt. Aspiring National Park.

Your day begins with 1.5 hour journey on a jet boat through the Dart River system. You’ll be surrounded by beautiful snow-covered peaks, hidden valleys & waterfalls. Your day includes a guided walk (30 minutes) along the ‘Heritage Trail’ at Paradise. Your guide will provide you with informative & entertaining commentary about the ancient native beech forest. The forests of this region sit within a World Heritage Area, one of the only natural sites of its kind that is accessible to the public.

Your guide details the fascinating history of this area from the days of Gondwanaland, to quests by Maori for prized pounamu, to the present-day efforts of New Zealand’s department of conservation for the preservation of the area. On the ride home, you will stop to view the epic backdrop for many international movies, including ‘The Lord of the Rings’ trilogy.

Dart River Wilderness Safari is a high-country adventure. To ensure that your experience is truly enjoyable, please: Dress warmly and wear comfortable walking shoes, regardless of season or weather. Head out on this one and a half hour tour to see the Devonport Naval Base, travel past the township and North Head, then cruise towards the iconic Rangitoto Island as you pass the historic Bean Rock lighthouse. You’ll pass under the Harbour Bridge twice and then off to Westhaven Marina to catch a glance at the viaduct harbour bustling with super yachts! This cruise also gives you a chance to “hop-on, hop-off” and discover nearby islands at your leisure.
